The woman who threw caution to the wind and inexplicably climbed into a lion enclosure at the Bronx Zoo has been identified. A woman who goes by Myah Laree Israelite on Instagram has been identified as the woman who made the boneheaded decision to taunt and approach a lion in the now-viral video.

Myah shared multiple videos on Instagram of her encounter with the lion and explained why she made the move.

“I REALLY HAVE NO FEAR OF NOTHING BREATHING,” she wrote in a caption on Instagram. “ANIMALS CAN FEEL LOVE JUST LIKE HUMANS. Only People wasn’t scared was me and The Chidren. All the Adults was Scared.”

She later added: “I LOVE EVERYTHING THE ”MOST HIGH CREATED.”

She even approached giraffes later in the day.

Judging by some of the other videos posted on social media from the Bronx Zoo trip and aftermath, it seems like the woman was having herself quite the day.

While Myah was apparently having herself the time of her life, she could face legal actions for her social media stunt. The New York Police Department continues to investigate the matter and the Bronx Zoo could decide to pursue trespassing charges.

“This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death,” zoo officials said in a statement following the incident. “Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. “We have a zero-tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers.”

In the end, we can be happy that the animal was not harmed and that the boneheaded stunt did not result in any injury, but let’s hope people think twice before doing something stupid in the future for a drop of clout.
