The UFC’s plans for the “Baddest Motherf*cker” title are coming together. According to sports betting and business reporter Darren Rovell of the Action Network, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has filed for three trademarks surrounding the phrase.
The trademarks filed to the US Patent & Trademark Office come ahead of UFC 244 which is headlined by a bout between fan-favorites Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz.
UFC president Dana White has previously said he will make a special “BMF” or “Baddest Motherf*cker” belt for the winner.
Now, those plans are closer to being a reality.
“The UFC has filed for 3 trademarks to the phrase ‘BADDEST MOTHERF*CKER’,” Rovell wrote on Twitter. “US Patent & Trademark Office indicate the UFC plans to offer an event under the name and call a championship belt the ‘BADDEST MOTHERF*CKER’ belt, plans to sell those belts.”

UFC 244 will take place on Saturday, November 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. UFC president Dana White has confirmed that he will be making a special bout for the fight which will be dubbed the “Baddest Motherf*cker (BMF)” title. Other bouts on the card include Kelvin Gastelum vs. Darren Till, Vicente Luque vs. Stephen Thompson, Corey Anderson vs. Johnny Walker, and more.
