Kim Kardashian knew she was getting an eccentric man when she dated and married Kanye West. But what the Los Angeles native may not have been ready for was a giant piece of land in the mountains of Wyoming. Well, now she has it after Kanye bought a ranch for around $14 million.
On Wednesday, September 11, Kim Kardashian appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where she opened up about her first thoughts when she saw the land.
Let’s just say it wasn’t the luxury accommodations the socialite is used to.
“He took me to go see it for the first time, like, maybe a week ago, before he bought it, wanted my opinion,” Kardashian explained to Fallon, as transcribed by Complex. “So it’s like, you know, 5,000 acres or something, so we’re driving, driving, driving up. We brought three of the kids. We go up to this cabin at the top. No electricity. iPads died. So, there’s now no lights. I’m scared to death that a bear or something’s gonna come. My phone dies. There is literally, like, no service. No nothing. I’m peeing in a bottle because there is, like, no bathrooms.”
Ah, welcome to the struggle. But honestly, I have to side with Kim here because I never understand why people willingly strand themselves in the woods — sorry, “go camping.”
But while her first impression of the property may not have been the best, she did admit that she is happy for Kanye because it is a dream of his and place that he wants to be.
“We love Wyoming, it’s always been such an amazing place,” she said. “His dream and his vision is to move there.”
Kanye first became linked to Wyoming when he was working on his album Ye and a handful of others. Kanye also premiered his album in the state. As for whether the family will move to the state full-time, we wouldn’t count on it based on Kardashian’s comments.
