Tanner Rasnake, 18, Arrested for Threatening to Kill Marshall Cheerleading Team

Tanner Wayne Rasnake, an 18-year-old from Kentucky, has reportedly been arrested for threatening the entire cheerleading team at Marshall University. According to the Herald-Dispatch, was arrested and charged with felony threat of terroristic acts.

Reports claim that Rasnake, who was not a student at Marshall, sent a message to a woman on Sunday, September 1 threatening to kill her, her family, and the entire Thundering Herd cheerleading squad. He reported also made a video call to the woman and verbally repeated his threats.

If convicted on the felony charges, Rasnake faces a one-to-three year prison sentence and/or a $5,000 to $25,000 fine.

The Marshall University Police filed complaints against Marshall before he was arrested. Rasnake is currently being held in the Western Regional Jail on $50,000 surety/cash bail.

The victim was not named and her age was not released, and it was not clear whether she is a member of the school’s cheerleading team.
