Is a new Kanye West album coming in September? Kim Kardashian-West sparked up some rumors and excitement when she sent out a message on social media on Thursday, August 29. Kim K shared a photo that was accompanied by the prayer hands emoji.
The photo appears to show an album title (Jesus is King), a release date (September 27), and a tracklist.
Back in April of this year, Kanye had teased a new song titled “Water” at one of his Sunday Services. Kanye performed the track which starts with Ye going back and forth with Ant Clemons. Interestingly enough, “Water” appeared on the tracklist that was tweeted out by Kim Kardashian.
Here is the photo that drummed up the buzz on social media.
The biblical theme of the title and tracklist indicates the project may have been inspired when Kanye was performing his Sunday Services throughout the past few months. At his services, Kanye has been releasing new tracks — as previously stated with “Water” — so the album could give those who have only seen services online the chance to have new Ye in one place.
Of course, we have seen Kanye shift release dates for his project whenever he wants, so it will be interesting to see whether September 27 actually brings us a new music. Yandhi was originally slated to release on Sept. 29, so Jesus is King could be Yandhi in its final iteration.
A closer look at the tracklist can be seen below.
