Florida rapper Lil Dell is reportedly on the run after being slapped with murder charges. According to ABC 3, the 19-year-old — whose real name is Cordellious Dyess — is wanted in connection to a shooting on Memorial Day that left one woman, Elizabeth Harris, dead.
It is believed that Dyess was in a group that fired more than 40 shots into a crowd outside of Platinum Night Club in his hometown of Pensacola with the intention of hitting a rival gang member. He faces a number of charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and aggravated assault.
Three teens — 18-year-old Tequan Warren, 17-year-old Markeasia James, and 19-year-old Dante Walker — have already been arrested in connection to the shooting.
Warren and James face the same charges as Lil Dell, while Walker was charged with accessory to murder.
Dyess, Warren, and James could face life in prison if they are convicted of the charges.
The younger sister of the victim Elizabeth Harris, Vallie, was saddened by the news of those involved in the shooting because she had known them.
“It’s sad because I grew up with these people,” she told local news outlets. “I went to school with them. I seen these people every day. Now when I think about it, I have to think these people did this to my sister.”
Anyone with information regarding Lil Dell’s whereabouts are asked to call the Pensacola Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 433-STOP.
