Ladies and gentlemen, the Breaking Bad sequel finally has a name and release date. Netflix officially announced El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie on Saturday, August 24. The Netflix Original will be released on Netflix on Friday, October 11.

Netflix teased the project with “What Happened to Jesse Pinkman?”

In the trailer for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, we can see that former Jesse Pinkman friend and associate Skinny Pete is brought in for questioning.

The official announcement of the highly-anticipated Breaking Bad sequel comes just two days after Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk, who plays attorney Saul Goodman and also portrayed the role in Breaking Bad, announced that filming for the movie had already completed.

“I’ve heard so many different things about it, but I am excited about the Breaking Bad movie. I can’t wait to see it…I don’t know what people know and don’t know,” Odenkirk said during an interview.

“I find it hard to believe you don’t know it was shot. They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is. They’ve done an amazing job of keeping it a secret.”

Aaron Paul will reprise his role of Jesse Pinkman.

The Breaking Bad prequel, which still does not have an official title, will star Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman. The film will follow Pinkman’s escape from captivity and his quest for freedom.

Bryan Cranston has not officially signed on, he’s more than willing.

“It’s a great story and there are a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open. This idea, from what I’m told, gets into those — at least a couple of the character show were not completed, as far as their journey,” Cranston said

“I don’t know if there’s an appearance — flashbacks, flash forwards — but I’m excited about it because it’s Breaking Bad and it was the greatest professional period of my life and I can’t wait to see all those people again, even if I just come by to visit.”
