It’s Tuesday, August 13, so the time has come once again to take a look around the college world and appreciate some of the standout students and rising social media influencers at various colleges in the country for the COED Girl of the Day which features a college student or social media personality who stands out among their peers. Today, we feature Shannon St. Clair, a student at Temple University.
Shannon has put together a growing audience on social media with more than 21,000 followers on Instagram.
Temple University, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1884 by Baptist minister Russell Conwell, who moved to Pennsylvania to lead the Grace Baptist Church. At his church, Conwell would begin tutoring students during late-night sessions in the basement of the Baptist Temple and they were dubbed the “night owls.” Eventually, Conwell switched the institution’s status to a university and the Owls became the university mascot.
