Yung Miami, one of the stars of the hip hop duo City Girls, was involved in a shooting incident outside of a recording studio in Miami, Florida. According to reports, Yung Miami was leaving Circle House Studios in her red G-Wagon which was then targeted with gunfire, according to social media reports.
One post on Instagram showed Yung Miami, whose real name is Caresha Romeka Brownlee, talking with police officers outside of her vehicle while the patrol car lights were flashing.
“I got the story first because I was standing right there,” the Instagram post caption read. “Caresha [Yung Miami] new G Wagon was shot at leaving Circle House… YALL need to give her better security! Poor baby was running across the street tryna run b4 police came. Smh wow prayers for her and baby 808’s protection.”
Yung Miami is currently pregnant with the child of her boyfriend, producer Southside. It is the couple’s first child together.
There is no word on exactly how many bullets were fired at Yung Miami’s vehicle, but there were multiple bullet holes in her G-Wagon. Luckily, she was not injured in the shooting and her child was unharmed.
A report from TMZ adds:
She told officers the shots came from behind her from a vehicle with its lights off, and a bullet struck the spare tire of her ride. She was reportedly leaving the studio when it happened Miami-Dade PD is investigating, but we’re told there are no suspects at this time.
The drive-by shooting comes shortly after rapper Kodak Black dissed Yung Miami in a freestyle from behind bars. In the rap, Kodak threatened to punch Yung Miami in the stomach, knowing that she was pregnant.
“I bought Yung Miami a ring, she wanted 808 baby. When I see her I’ma hit that b*tch in her stomach,” Kodak rapped. “The way I keep my sh*t too real, they say I’m f**king up my money.”
