Antoinette Robertson is one of the stars of the Netflix original series Dear White People, a satirical comedy-drama based on the 2014 film of the same name, starring in the role of Colandrea ‘Coco’ Conners. Coco is one of the students at Winchester University in the Netflix series, majoring in economics and serving as the treasurer for the Coalition of Racial Equality student union.

It is the second major role for the actress, who previously starred in “Hart of Dixie” as Lynly Hayes.

Robertson was born in the Bronx, New York to two immigrant parents. She spent her childhood in both the United States and Jamaica, attending Jamaica’s Anglican all-girls School before attending Stony Brook University with a Bachelors degree in chemistry. Robertson fine-tuned her acting at the William Esper Studio Conservatory.

Guys, I needed to hit PAUSE for a week …with everything going on in the world it feels impossible to stay joyful. THE INJUSTICE… PAIN AND SUFFERING of the most VULNERABLE among us …. Hatred… Violence… etc I took a trip to find my joy and ended up realizing… I could have found it right at home. ❤ I try to constantly center myself and remember that GOD is my fortitude. And if ….I operate from a position of GRATITUDE it will allow all of the negativity to fade away. That is easier said than done but every day I try my best. I’m so grateful for my HEALTH, a supportive FAMILY and the SOLID FRIENDS …I’m so fortunate to call my own. If you took a moment and closed your eyes… what would make you smile in gratitude … • • • • • • •Special thanks to the @ritzcarlton in Aruba for the perfect vacation. Including their exclusive Divi Divi massage and 5 Star service at @casanonna … my day couldn’t have been more special. #rcmemories • • • #carefreeblackgirl #islandgyaltings #antoinetterobertson #dearwhitepeople #jamaican #cococonners #attitudeofgratitude #butgodtho #antyadventures
