Antoinette Robertson is one of the stars of the Netflix original series Dear White People, a satirical comedy-drama based on the 2014 film of the same name, starring in the role of Colandrea ‘Coco’ Conners. Coco is one of the students at Winchester University in the Netflix series, majoring in economics and serving as the treasurer for the Coalition of Racial Equality student union.
It is the second major role for the actress, who previously starred in “Hart of Dixie” as Lynly Hayes.
Robertson was born in the Bronx, New York to two immigrant parents. She spent her childhood in both the United States and Jamaica, attending Jamaica’s Anglican all-girls School before attending Stony Brook University with a Bachelors degree in chemistry. Robertson fine-tuned her acting at the William Esper Studio Conservatory.
