The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to ESPN on Saturday, August 3 for UFC on ESPN 5 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The event is an early afternoon fight card with the preliminary bouts kicking off at noon ET and the main card at 3:00 p.m. ET.
In the main event, top welterweight contenders and former UFC titleholders Colby Covington and Robbie Lawler go toe-to-toe in a bout that should determine the next title challenger at 170-pounds.
In the co-main event, veteran fan-favorites Clay Guida and Jim Miller meet in a lightweight contest.
The main card opens up with a light heavyweight bout between Kennedy Nzechekwu and Darko Stosic, while the preliminary card is headlined by a welterweight bout between Lookin’ for a Fight alum Mickey Gall and Salim Touahri. The night kicks off in the women’s flyweight division with Hannah Goldy and Miranda Granger stepping into the Octagon.
Before the fighters could enter the cage in just over 24 hours, they had to step onto the scale for the official fighter weigh-ins at the host hotel on Friday, August 2.
