The CNN Democratic Presidential Debates are finally here with a two-night event in Detroit on Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31. It is a crucial debate for the 20 candidates as they have a last-ditch effort to pitch their platform to voters before the Septemeber debates which have much steeper requirements.
On night one, two of the top progressives — Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren — go head-to-head, while promising young candidates Pete Buttigieg and Beto O’Rourke will also be on stage.
The lineup for night one of the debates includes Author and activist Marianne Williamson, Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Former Maryland Rep. John Delaney, and Montana Gov. Steve Bullock.
