Santino William Legan, a 19-year-old, has been identified as the man who open-fired at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California. The shooting, which took place on Sunday, July 28, left three people dead and more than a dozen more injured. Included in the victims was a six-year-old boy, Stephen Romero, who lost his life.
According to multiple reports, a since-deleted Instagram post from the alleged shooter read “Read Might Is Right by Ragnar Redbeard. Why overcrowd towns and pave more open space to make room for hordes of mestizos and Silicon Valley white tw*ts?”
Legan was shot and killed by police officers after open-firing on the crowd.
Eye-witnesses claim that Legan said he was committing the mass shooting because he was “really angry.” It is believed that the shooter gained access to the festival and bypassed its metal detectors by cutting through a fence with bolt cutters, according to the Daily Mail.
