On June 17, Barrette allegedly killed Isai Cadalzo, 22, at the intersection of West Metairie and Henry Landry streets in Metairie.

Less than 24 hours later, he allegedly killed Manuel Caronia, 45, and Nicky Robeau, 57, at West Metairie and North Starrett streets, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

When he was arrested, a .40 caliber loaded pistol was found in his home. Sheriff deputies also found receipts for ammo that were mailed to his Metairie address.

Following the announcement of his arrest, there have been reports that Barrette had recently been admitted to mental health facilities multiple times in recent months. According to 247 Sports, his most recent post on May 25 reads, “Not impressed by u at all so u won’t see me again.”

“We know he had a mental history,” Lopinto said, per FOX8. “He shot himself in his own hand as part of the December incident when he was taken in back then.”

It is believed that Barrette had indiscriminately gunned down the victims.
