The El Paso Police Department continues to search for Erika Andrea Gaylan, a 29-year-old who went missing over the weekend after attending a concert at the El Paso County Coliseum. Authorities released information that she was last seen in a white dress and that there are some concerns that she could be in danger, according to the El Paso Times.
She is approximately 5-foot-4 and weighs 120 pounds with brown shoulder-length hair. The dress Gaytan was last seen wearing is pictured in the photo above.
The man Gaylan attended the concert with as a date says that she called an Uber when the concert was over. Her family, however, questions the authenticity of that information because they do not believe she would leave her seven-year-old child unattended for that long.
From ABC7-KVIA:
Her family says it’s not like Gaytan to go off and leave her 7-year-old son behind. And her son’s father says Gaytan is a really good mother and would always have her phone on her.
“Anything she’s doing, she always has her phone. This is not like her. It’s not like her. When I have my son, she always calls me, she always texts me, she always calls me to talk to him. It’s been seven days. No mom. No nothing. He knows something is going on, and it’s heartbreaking. It’s a devastating week,” Gaytan’s grandfather Victor Renovato told KFOX-TV. “She’s a really good mother. She’s been with my son, whatever he’s needed. My son loves her. So, she’s a really good person. The friendliest person that I could have met.”
Anyone with information on Gaytan’s whereabouts is asked to immediately call the El Paso Police Department at 832-4400.
