Toni Duggan is one of the stars on the England women’s national team participating in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. During qualifications leading up to the tournament, Duggan was second on the team with four goals. While she has yet to score in the 2019 World Cup, England has found their way into the semifinals where they will face the top-ranked United States squad.

Duggan, who was born July 25, 1991, in Liverpool, England, plays at the club level for Spanish club Barcelona. She previously played for Everton Ladies and Manchester City.

The 27-year-old received her call up to the senior national team in 2012 and has 71 caps. In those 71 appearances, Duggan has found the back of the net 22 times. In 2015, Duggan was a member of the England squad that participated in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada where they ultimately won the bronze medal.

When she is off the pitch, Duggan is an ambassador for Kick it Out, which is an anti-discrimination organization, and she also works with the charity Saving Lives.

Duggan is the first English women’s soccer player to top 100,000 followers on social media.
