It is do or die for the United States women’s national team on Monday, June 24 as the knockout stage of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup continues with USWNT vs. Spain. The United States has cruised through the group stage and will now face one of their toughest matches to date.
With a win over Spain, the United States would likely take on host nation France in the quarterfinals.
There have been some injury concerns for the USWNT, however, with Julie Ertz and Alex Morgan suffering some setbacks. However, coach Jill Ellis says the two stars are good to go so we should see the United States with a full-strength lineup.
The United States and Spain have faced off just one previous time, with the USWNT scoring a 1-0 victory on January 22 thanks to a goal from Christen Press.
A Spanish broadcast of the USWNT’s Round of 16 match against Spain will also be available on Telemundo.
