It looks like Big Baller Brand may not be going anywhere after all. Despite plenty of question’s about the future of BBB after an ESPN report that co-founder Alan Ball had stolen more than $1.5 million from the company and rumors that Lonzo Ball had left the brand, Big Baller Brand shoe designer David Raysse shared a message on social media that indicates a new wave of products is coming.
Raysse shared photos on Instagram that show new colorways for LaMelo Ball’s signature MB1 sneaker, along with a message that claims new versions of Lonzo and LiAngelo’s signature shoes — the ZO2 and G3, respectively — will be coming by the end of the month.
“The reports of BBB death are greatly exaggerated,” Raysse wrote. “Z02 & G3 coming end of the month.”
News of the latest Big Baller Brand releases come following comments from BBB patriarch LaVar Ball that the brand was still strong despite Foster’s misdeeds.
“I’m not gonna let one roodypoo guy come in here and do something bad and then be like the brand’s not good,” Ball said, via TMZ Sports. “The brand is good. It’s just somebody did something bad to it … We had a snake up in the thing, but you gotta understand this — I’m a snake charmer. When you’re a snake charmer, you’re gonna get bit.”
Following news of Foster’s crooked past and the financial issues, Lonzo sued Foster for running a fraudulent scheme.
From the report:
Ball claims Foster began conspiring against them shortly after his release. It was reported last week that Foster — who owns around 16 percent of the company — allegedly stole the money and that Ball cut ties with him … so it was only a matter of time before it went to court.
On the season finale of the family’s “Ball in the Family” reality series on Facebook Watch, LaVar and his sons could be seen discussing the future of Big Baller Brand. No resolution was met on the finale, but it looks like things could be moving forward in a positive way for the family as Lonzo prepares to begin his time with the New Orleans Pelicans after being traded from the Lakers and LaMelo prepares to return overseas to play in Australia.
