UFC Parent Company Endeavor Reportedly in Talks to Acquire Premier Boxing Champions

Endeavor, the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, is reportedly in talks to make a big move in the boxing world. According to the latest buzz, Endeavor is moving to purchase Premier Boxing Champions which is currently run by Al Haymon.

The news was first reported by The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger.

“Rumors are true,” Coppinger wrote. “Al [Haymon] held several meetings with Ari Emanuel about a potential deal where Al would still be majorly involved the same way Dana [White] is with UFC following that deal with Endeavor. There’s a ton more to write about this; something I’ll cover in the coming weeks with a full-length story on the site.”

Rumors of a potential acquisition of PBC first launched in late May.

Premier Boxing Champions, which launched back in 2015, had a roster of more than 200 boxers and aired their fights on ESPN, CBS, FOX, NBC, and other networks.

Dana White has previously expressed his interest in getting involved in the boxing world and Zuffa Boxing has long been teased, so it would be interesting to see whether he would take a role in the promotion if they join forces with Endeavor.

Premier Boxing Champions is currently home to standouts like WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, WBA/IBF/WBO heavyweight king Andy Ruiz, IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr, WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman, WBA featherweight champion Leo Santa Cruz, WBA super-featherweight champion Gervonta Davis, and Manny Pacquiao, so there is certainly some star power.
