Ink Master returns for a season 12 on the Paramount Network on Tuesday, June 11. The season — which is dubbed Battle of the Sexes — features a new concept with a 50/50 gender split that will split the contestants into one team of men and one team of women.
“Team leaders emerge in a shocking new season-long twist that sends the Artists a wake-up call and shakes up the competition,” the synopsis for the season premiere reads.
The new theme of the show will give women a bigger platform in the tattoo industry. Typically, the series has been male-driven with Ryan Ashley Malarkey in season 8 as the only female winner throughout the show’s history.
The winner of the season will win a $100,000 prize and have their work displayed in an editorial feature in Inked Magazine.
