Margot Robbie, born in Dalby, Australia, on July 2, 1990, is an Australian model and actress who is perhaps best known for her role as Harley Quinn in the DC Extended Universe, former figure skater Tonya Harding in the biographical film I, Tonya, and Naomi in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.
Born and raised in Queensland, Australia, Robbie eventually studied drama and acting at Somerset College in Mudgeeraba, Queensland.
Robbie made her professional acting debut in the year 2008 when she appeared as the character of Cassandra in the film Vigilante. Also in 2008, Robbie starred in various TV series such as Review with Myles Barlow, The Elephant Princess, and City Homicide.
In the year 2013, Robbie’s acting career experienced a major breakthrough to the mainstream when she starred as Naomi Lapaglia in the Leonardo DiCaprio-starring film The Wolf of Wall Street and as Charlotte in the Rachel McAdams-starring romantic comedy About Time.
Following her star turn in The Wolf of Wall Street, the stunning Robbie became one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actresses.
In the years since The Wolf of Wall Street, Robbie has been cast as Harley Quinn in the DCEU, starred in her first Quentin Tarantino project, and starred in various other films such as Focus, The Big Short, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Suicide Squad, I, Tonya, Peter Rabbit, Slaughterhouse Rulez, The Legend of Tarzan, Terminal, Mary Queen of Scots, Dreamland, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Down the road, Robbie will reprise her role of Harley Quinn in the 2020 film Birds of Prey and will star in drama thriller Promising Young Woman.
