While the series finale of Game of Thrones — or any series finale, for that matter — was never going to appease everybody, the reaction of some fans has been that of a petulant child.

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ‘GAME OF THRONES’ SEASON 8, EPISODE 6 WILL FOLLOW.

HBO

Whether it be the artist formerly known as Bran Stark’s rise to become King of the Seven Six Kingdoms, Jon Snow’s seemingly nonsensical banishment to the Night’s Watch (Grey Worm and the Unsullied are leaving, dude, just chill out for a bit), or Daenerys slightly underwhelming death, the Game of Thrones finale was certainly far from perfect.

But it also wasn’t that bad, either, really. Yes, the final season came off as disjointed due to the condensed episode count, but all things considered — when looked at in its totality — Game of Thrones managed to tack a fitting end onto their already legendary story.

However, there are some fans out there who are so displeased with the ending that they’re going as far as signing a petition to have the final season remade. And now, those people are incurring the wrath of the actress who plays the Queen in the North, Sophie Turner.

In an interview with The New York Times, Turner — who played Sansa Stark for eight seasons on the hit HBO fantasy drama — called the fan petitions “disrespectful” to all of those who worked so hard on the show.

“All of these petitions and things like that — I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season. Like 50-something night shoots,” Turner says.

“So many people worked so, so hard on it, and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful… People always have an idea in their heads of how they want a show to finish, and so when it doesn’t go their liking, they start to speak up about it and rebel,” she continues.

Furthermore, Turner goes on to point out that Game of Thrones has *never* been about giving what the fans want:

“The thing about Game of Thrones that’s always been amazing is the fact that there’s always been crazy twists and turns, right from season one with Ned’s beheading. So Daenerys becoming something of the Mad Queen—it shouldn’t be such a negative thing for fans. It’s a shock for sure, but I think it’s just because it hasn’t gone their way,” she concluded.

Turner is not the only ones to hit out at the Game of Thrones haters, as Kit Harington recently said that they can “go f*** themselves.”

Now, while fans are certainly allowed to have their own opinions, we agree that the self-entitlement it requires to believe you should have a say in how your favorite Hollywood production ends is truly astounding.
