New York Religious Leaders Pray for Knicks to Land Zion Williamson

People in New York are really hoping for good luck in the 2019 NBA Draft on Tuesday, May 14. The Knicks are one of three teams with a 14 percent chance to land the No. 1 pick — along with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Phoenix Suns — so the New York faithful are praying, literally, that they come out on top.

Earning the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft gives the winner the inside track at landing Duke phenom Zion Williamson.

And with the Knicks fans hoping that the franchise can begin a major turnaround — which could also include potentially landing top tier free agents like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving — they are pulling out all stops.

The New York post shared a video that shows a number of spiritual and religious leaders outside of Madison Square Garden to pray for the top pick.

“Here in New York, we need all the help we can get, especially from the higher powers,” said. Rabbi Adam Mintz.

He was joined outside of The Garden with a priest, a shaman, two witches, and a miracle healer.

Best of luck, Knicks fans.
