Alexandra Shipp is an Arizona-born American actress who is best known for her performance as Storm / Ororo Munroe in the X-Men movies X-Men: Apocolypse and Dark Phoenix.
Shipp was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on July 16, 1991. Prior to moving to southern California to begin an acting career, Shipp attended St. Mary’s Catholic High School. She eventually dropped out of St. Mary’s Catholic High School to begin chasing her dream of becoming an actress.
Shipp’s introduction into the acting world didn’t take long, as she made her feature film debut when she was just 18-years-old when she starred in the 2009 film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.
Following her feature film debut, Shipp has been on a — dare we say — *rocket ship* to the top of the acting game as she has since appeared in films and television shows such as Tragedy Girls, Spinning Man, Dude, A Dog’s Way Home, Birth, Victorious, House of Anubis, Awkward, Ray Donovan, Days of Our Lives, Straight Outta Compton, X-Men: Apocalypse, Love, Simon, Deadpool 2, and Dark Phoenix.
In the near future, Shipp will star alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Regina Hall, and Jessie Usher as the female lead in the remake of Shaft. Additionally, she also stars in the upcoming films All the Bright Places and Lexi.
