Today marks the final day of one of the most epic Premier League seasons in history, as all 20 of the league’s teams will play at once to close out the 2018-19 season.
Short of anything miraculous, today will likely end with Manchester City winning their second consecutive Premier League title under super-manager Pep Guardiola.
The Cityzens of Manchester City, just one year after shattering records with a 100 point season, is set to win their second straight Premier League title with 98 points if they can do the business against lowly Brighton & Hove Albion, who have already secured another season in the Premier League.
However, unlike last season, Manchester City — the most expensive soccer team ever assembled — was unable to coast to the Premier League title, as Liverpool — who are poised to finish with an astounding 97 points with a win over Wolves — were biting at their heels since the first matchweek back in August.
Due to the nature of the Premier League point season, all 20 of the league’s teams play their final game at the same time so teams can not use the knowledge of the result of another game to impact the game they are playing in.
And due to that packed schedule, there can be quite a lot of confusion when trying to track down what channel your favorite Premier League club is playing on during the season’s final matchday.
