Kaya Scodelario, born on March 13, 1992, in West Sussex, England, is a British actress who is best known for portraying Teresa in The Maze Runner film franchise and Carol Ann Boone in the 2019 Ted Bundy movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
Born in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, Scodelario was raised in London.
In the year 2007, Scodelario was cast as Effy Stonem on the teen drama series Skins when she was just 14-years-old.
Following the success of Skins, Scodelario made her feature film debut in the Sam Rockwell-starring science fiction-thriller film Moon.
After making her feature film debut in Moon, Scodelario went on to star in further movies such as the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans, Shank, Wuthering Heights, Now Is Good, Twenty8k, Spike Island, and The Truth About Emanuel.
In the year 2014, Scodelario’s professional acting career made a massive leap forward when she was cast as Teresa in The Maze Runner movie series. She would go on to portray Teresa in The Maze Runner, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Maze Runner: The Death Cure.
Scodelario’s public profile only further grew from there, as she was cast as Carina Smyth in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and Carol Anne Boone in the 2019 Zac Efron-starring Ted Bundy Netflix movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
Also in the year 2019, Scodelario appeared in the horror film Crawl. She has also made appearances on televisions shows such as Southcliffe and Spinning Out.
