This Hint in the ‘Game of Thrones’ Intro Holds the Key to the Battle of King’s Landing

Eagle-eyed fans believe this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it detail in this season’s updated Game of Thrones intro holds the key to the upcoming Battle of King’s Landing.

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ‘GAME OF THRONES’ SEASON 8 WILL FOLLOW AFTER THE GIFs.

game of thrones Spoilers

While the latest intro to Game of Thrones features countless updates to its already iconic sequence, fans believe a quick shot of what appears to be four dragons (three little dragons and one big one) holds the key to the upcoming Battle of King’s Landing.

As we all know, Daenerys is heading into her climactic battle with Cersei and the Lannister forces in as weak of a state as she’s been since the beginning of the series.

Without her Dothraki, half of the Unsullied, two of her dragons, her best friend (Missandei) and her most-trusted advisor (Ser Jorah Mormont), Dany is as vulnerable as we’ve seen her in quite some time. Or is she?

As the theory goes, the four dragon image that appears on the golden ring in the intro are actually Drogon, the one remaining dragon, and it’s three BABIES.

Fans believe that when Drogon went rogue and disappeared at the end of season four until about halfway through season five, that it was off giving birth to three baby dragons, who have since grown into capable, battle-ready teenage (?) dragons.

OMG!

What if – bear with me now – WHAT IF…the reason Drogon ‘disappeared’ randomly in the earlier season was because it had sex with its brother and went off to lay it’s eggs in Valyria or something, and the babies rock up in the last episode to fuck things up?

I read this fan theory that drogon laid eggs in the remains of valyrian peninsula. jorah and Tyrion saw drogon there as they sails to meereen!

If that was true baby Drogons should be grown enough, capable of helping dany on this coming war. #GameofThrones

My theory is that there are going to be more dragons in Game Of Throne Episode 5. Drogon pissed off in season 4 and raised baby dragons. What else would this mean???

Game of Thrones, which first began its iconic eight-season run on Sunday, April 17, 2011, will wrap up its final season on Sunday, May 19, 2019.

Already the most successful show in the history of the medium that is television, Game of Thrones will look to stick the landing in a way that has eluded many great shows of the past.

The final season of the record-shattering series has been anything but universally beloved thus far, as many fans are complaining about what appears to be a case of lazy writing in these final six episodes.

Plus, not to mention that whole Starbucks cup fiasco.
