Paul Pierce has had a ROUGH month or two as an NBA analyst for ESPN.
First, as Dwayne Wade’s iconic career was coming to a close, he claimed that he had a better career, despite have two less NBA Championships.
Then, after the Boston Celtics beat the favored Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, Pierce proclaimed that the series was “over” and debated whether the Bucks would get swept. Oddly enough, the Bucks have since won three straight games against Boston and currently have the C’s on the brink of elimination.
Finally, to complete the trifecta, Pierce decided to just let a fart rip right onto Michelle Beadle’s lap as the pair were taping a segment for ESPN with Jalen Rose and Chauncey Billups.
I mean, just look at this photo, it’s almost a renaissance painting. The utter disgust on Beadle’s face, the clear “I definitely just farted” body posture of Pierce.
Clearly, ESPN is going for the same “friends just hanging out vibe” that has been mastered by the crew of Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, and Charles Barkley over at Turner Sports.
And while these four — Beadle, Pierce, Rose, and Billups — do have some great chemistry, the producers might be wise to real Paul Pierce in a little bit, as his homerism and clear lack of professionalism are dragging down what should be an enjoyable pregame quartet.
As for poor ole’ Michelle Beadle, she deserves a Presendtial Medal of Freedom for being able to keep her cool. I’m a mid-20’s male and I wouldn’t let one of my FRIENDS drop a heater on me like that, let alone one of my co-workers.
And in case her face didn’t give it away, Beadle is clearly perturbed by the incident, as she was the one who confirmed that Pierce let one rip.
