It has been quite some time since mixed martial arts fans have seen the iconic gladiator intro leading into UFC pay-per-views. But one fan was inspired by the final run of Game of Thrones and decided to bring back the old intro for an epic mash-up between the MMA promotion and the most popular show on television.

Throughout the video — accompanied by the all too familiar soundtrack of “Face The Pain” — compares some of Game of Thrones’ most important characters to the UFC’s biggest and brightest stars.

It was a no-brainer that Paige VanZant would have the honor of portraying “Daenerys Targaryen,” while the likes of Urijah Faber and Conor McGregor get some hilarious comparisons throughout the opening montage. And, of course, Dana White makes an appearance as a fellow bald-headed star.

You can check out the fan-made intro video below.

The UFC returns on Saturday, May 4, with UFC on ESPN+ 9 in Ottawa, Canada. It is the beginning of a busy May for the Ultimate Fighting Championship which will also include UFC 237: Namajunas vs. Andrade in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on May 11; and UFC on ESPN+ 10: dos Anjos vs. Lee in Rochester, New York on May 18.

Following Episode 3 of Game of Thrones, meanwhile, there are just three episodes remaining in the final season and the stakes are higher than ever. Episode 4 will run 1 hour and 18 minutes, while episodes 5 and 6 on Sunday, May 12 and May 19, respectively, will each run for 1 hour and 20 minutes of epic television.

Episode 4 of Game of Thrones season 8 will air on HBO at 9:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 5. You can watch every episode live on HBO and HBO Now or on demand with HBO Go.
