Trystan Andrew Terrell: University of North Carolina Charlotte Shooter Identified

Trystan Andrew Terrell, 22, has been identified as the suspect arrested in connection with the shooting at the University of North Carolina Charlotte that left two people dead and another four people injured.


UPDATE (9:30 a.m. EST, 5/1/19):

The two people killed in the UNCC mass shooting carried out by Trystan Andrew Terrell have been identified as 19-year-old Ellis Parlier and 21-year-old Riley Howell.


UNCC Shooting: What We Know So Far

According to reports, Trystan Andrew Terrell began open firing on the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus in the evening of Tuesday, April 30.

The school was immediately placed on lockdown following the reports of gunfire.

As a result of the shooting, Trystan Andrew Terrell killed two people and injured another four.

At this time, police have not determined a motive and are currently investigating. Police believe that Terrell, a history student, acted alone.

Various police agencies, the ATF, and emergency services all responded to the scene to investigate.

Terrell is currently in police custody and was immediately taken to jail.

The reports of a shooting at the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and mass shootings that have plagued school and universities across the United States of America in recent years.


Who Is Trystan Andrew Terrell?

Trystan Andrew Terrell, 22-years-old, has been identified as the man responsible for the active shooting on the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus.

Terrell was reportedly a history student at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

His motive for the shooting is currently unknown at this time.
