John Earnest has been identified as the 19-year-old white male arrested in connection to the Chabad of Poway Synagogue shooting that killed one and left at least four injured.
Earnest reportedly began opening fire in the Chabad of Poway Synagogue around 11:30 a.m. local time on Saturday, April 27 — the last day of the Jewish holiday Passover.
John Earnest Social Media Accounts: Facebook, Instagram & Twitter
At the time of this writing, social media accounts run by Earnest have yet to be uncovered. Additionally, Earnest reportedly published a manifesto prior to the attack that details his motivations in the grisly mass shooting.
However, while no social media accounts operated by Earnest have been discovered, he did reportedly post on the online forum 4chan prior to the incident.
The Aftermath of the Shooting
President Donald Trump has yet to tweet a statement about the shooting at the time of this writing.
In an official statement, Democratic Senator Kamala Harris said she was “disturbed” by the reports of the shooting.
“I am disturbed by reports of a shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue and am closely monitoring the situation,” Sen. Harris said in an official statement.
The shooting at the Chabad Synagogue in Poway comes exactly six months after 11 people were killed in the Pittsburgh Tree of Life synagogue shooting on October 27, 2018.
The reports of a mass shooting at the Chabad of Poway Synagogue is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, active shootings and mass shootings that have plagued the United States of America in recent year.
