The first trailer for the Ang Lee-directed, Will Smith-starring sci-fi action film Gemini Man is here.
Check out the official synopsis and the full first trailer below.
“Henry Brogen, an aging assassin seeking to exit his career, finds himself going against a younger clone of himself who can predict his every move.”
Wooooooph, it’s good to see our boy Slick Willy get a much-needed win, considering his Genie in the upcoming Aladdin remake is already getting dragged before the movie even premieres.
Yes, Will Smith is Will Smith and his charisma remains out of this world, but the fact is that Slick Willy hasn’t made a legitimately good movie in over a decade. Literally.
Don’t believe me? Here are all of the films that Smith has starred in since Hancock and Seven Pounds back in 2008:
- Collateral Beauty
- Suicide Squad
- Winter’s Tale
- After Earth
- Men in Black 3
Not great! Which is why I’m hoping that Gemini Man will bring a return to form for one of America’s most beloved movie stars.
Gemini Manalso marks Lee’s first film since 2016’s Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.
While Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk was an utter bomb, Ang Lee directed some of the best films of the 2000s, such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Brokeback Mountain, and Life of Pi.
Gemini Man, which also stars Clive Owen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Benedict Wong in addition to Will Smith, will be released in theaters in the United States on Friday, October 11, 2019.
