The Best Twitter Reactions to Arya & Gendry’s Hook-Up

Warning: massive spoilers for ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8, Episode 2, will follow.

After eight long and grueling seasons (grueling for the various characters, not us), Arya Stark and Gendry Baratheon finally hooked up in the second episode of the final season, thus beginning the most anticipated hook-up in the history of Game of Thrones.

Following a rooftop wine drinking session with her old Season 3 BFFs The Hound and Beric Dondarrion, Arya makes her way down to the forge to practice her arrow shooting prior to the impending battle with the Night King and the Army of the Dead.

As she hones her arrow skills, Gendry finally shows up her custom-made Dragon Glass spear that Arya hopes to use to kill the Night King.

Arya then wastes absolutely no time telling Gendry how she really feels, saying that she wants to know what sex is like before she dies (even though, let’s be real, if anyone is going to survive, it’s Arya), thus beginning the longest-awaited hookup in the history of the show and sending Twitter into utter chaos.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about filming the scene, Williams said that everyone on the Game of Thrones set was “really respectful.”

Arya didn’t even ‘so what you gettin into after this?’ She was just like SO WHATS GOOD.

Considering that the Night King and the Army of the Dead are essentially knocking on the gates of Winterfell, it’s probably a good thing that Arya threw that thang on Gendry as the chances of them both surviving the Battle of Winterfell are slim to none.

Plus, she’s never going to top that “I’m not the Red Woman, take off your own bloody pants” line, so she may as well pull a George Costanza and walk out on a high note.

The eighth and final season of the Emmy-award winning fantasy action drama Game of Thrones, which consists of just six episodes, began airing on HBO on Sunday, April 14.
