Kanye West brought church to the desert with his live choir and Easter Sunday Service special at Coachella on Sunday, April 21. During the set, Kanye performed a new song, titled “Water,” for the crowd in attendance. Kanye’s Sunday Service had appearances from collaborators Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla Sign, Teyana Taylor, 070 Shake, DMX, and Kid Cudi, but it was the new song that had people talking.
Kanye performed the track which starts with Ye going back and forth with Ant Clemons.

This isn’t the first time that Kanye has teased new music during his Sunday Service. Back in January, Kanye teased a gospel track “We’ll Find A Way” while Sunday Service was being held in Calabasas.
It’s going to be interesting to see what kind of vibe Kanye’s long-awaited Yandhi album will have when it is ultimately released.
Throughout the Coachella performance, Kanye performed a number of his classic songs with the choir and was eventually brought to tears during one powerful rendition. DMX, Kid Cudi, and Chance the Rapper comforted Kanye during the powerful service.
Kanye was initially scheduled as a headliner for this year’s music festival, but some creative differences led to a change. However, in late March Kanye announced how his special Easter Sunday Service came to be. The performance comes one day after appearing on the Coachella stage with Kid Cudi. Kanye has been holding his special Sunday Services — which have included tributes to late-rapper Nipsey Hussle and the teasing of new music — in Calabasas throughout the year. But he decided to up the ante and close his run out with a big platform at Coachella.
Coachella took place over two weekends, April 12-14 and April 19-21. Headliners for this year’s festival were Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, and Tame Impala.
