The final season of HBO’s Emmy Award-winning epic fantasy drama Game of Thrones continues tonight as the second episode of season 8 airs on HBO at 9 p.m. EST.
Following last week’s season premiere episode, “Winterfell”, the title of tonight’s episode is being kept a secret until after the episode airs, which just goes to show how close HBO is playing this final season to the chest.
Last week’s reunion-filled episode saw Jon and Daenerys arrive in Winterfell to some staunch opposition and aggression from the Northerners, including Sansa.
“Winterfell”, which saw the reuniting of characters just as Jon and Arya, Jon and Bran, Arya and the Hound, Arya and Gendry, Jon and Sam, and Jaime and Bran, also game with a chilling warning that the Night King and his army are just mere days away from Winterfell.
However, don’t expect the big face-off this week, as the assuredly epic Battle of Winterfell is set for next week.
With just five episodes left in the series, the final season of Game of Thrones is poised to break all sorts of viewership records.
