Sofia Resing is a 27-year-old swimsuit and fashion model from Porto Alegre, Brazil. Back in 2016, Resing really gained notoriety thanks to her appearance in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Resing, who began her career three years prior on the runway for designers like Tracy Reese and Sally LaPointe, has also modeled for GQ.
Resing recently co-founded the bikini company Merry Playa with the help of Mery Racauchi.
Sophia signed her first modeling contract in the United States after being scouted at a Halloween party where she was dressed as the Green Hornet, according to her official bio.
“Often called ‘the broom’ in her school for her tall frame and bulky thick hair, modeling was never on Sofia’s mind until she escorted her sister to a local model contest. Sofia ended up in the final but she decided to stay in school instead and did a few modeling jobs on the side. In her last year of school she traveled to Europe, cast by an European agency and began to work immediately in the European market. It was her first time ever out of Brazil,” the bio read.
“While on a trip in Miami, she attended a Halloween party dressed as the Green Hornet and, fully in costume, was scouted by a New York agent. This chance meeting led her to the Big Apple where she signed her first modeling contract in the United States.”

This is the first swimsuit I designed. I called it Pegasus because Pegasus was created by Poseidon, the God of the seas. So simple as that we put these pieces of fabric together and gave it life!! Makes me so excited
