Alexa Demie, born on December 11, 1994, is an American actress who is best known for her roles in the Jonah Hill directed coming-of-age film Mid90s and the Zendaya-starring HBO high school drama series Euphoria.
In addition to being an up-and-coming actress, Alexa Demie is also a budding musician, as her debut single, “Girl Like Me”, was released in November 2017.
Prior to her breakout role, Demie appeared in the short Miles in 2015 (which was her acting debut), three episodes of the Showtime drama series Ray Donovan, the short To The Moon, two episodes of the TV series Love.
After appearing as Estee in Jonah Hill’s directorial debut Mid90s, Demie went on to appear in the second season of the Netflix supernatural drama The OA and a starring role in the HBO series Euphoria.
Similar to Zendaya, Demie will appear in all ten episodes of the first season of Euphoria, which has Drake on board as one of its executive producers.
According to HBO, Euphoria tells the story of “a group of high school students navigating drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship.”
Euphoria will begin airing on HBO on Sunday, June 16, 2019.
While Demie has yet to appear in a major Hollywood motion picture at the time of this writing, we have a feeling it’s only a matter of time before she starts popping up in some Disney-owned property somewhere.
