ESPN’s Ariel Helwani is one of the top mixed martial arts insiders in the game. So ahead of UFC 236, Helwani sat down with Dustin Poirier, who is taking on featherweight champion Max Holloway in the main event, for some insight on their title fight. As it turns out, he may have got more than he bargained for.
Poirier was talking about a display in his home that is waiting for the addition of a UFC championship belt when he started scrolling through photos.
It was at that time that Helwani had an “aw shucks” moment and appeared to see something he wished he hadn’t.
Poirier even quipped, “Whoops, not that one.”

UFC 236 is set to take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The event officially begins with the early preliminary card on UFC Fight Pass at 6:15 p.m. ET for four bouts before making the move to ESPN at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Worldwide Leader in Sports will then be home to four additional bouts before the main card kicks off at 10:00 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.
Ordering UFC 236 will require a subscription to ESPN+.
