Erin Burnett is a prominent CNN anchor who is currently the host of her own show Erin Burnett OutFront. Prior to joining CNN, Burnett worked for CNBC, and also appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press, Today, MSNBC’s Morning Joe, NBC Nightly News, and even served as an advisor to Donald Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice.
Burnett was born and raised in Mardela Springs, Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political economy at Williams College in Massachusetts. While studying at Williams College, Burnett also played lacrosse and field hockey.
Before turning to journalism, Burnett worked on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance for Goldman Sachs as a financial analyst. She also worked at Citigroup as vice president and was a Stocks Editor and anchor for Bloomberg Television.
Burnett has been with CNN since October 3, 2011, after more than five years with CNBC.
