K-Pop sensations BTS are dropping their sixth extended play album Map of the Soul: Persona on Friday, April 12, 2019. The album will feature 7 songs running 26 minutes and 5 seconds. It is a follow-up to the 2018 albums Love Yourself: Tear and Love Yourself: Answer. It is set to kickoff a new series of albums for the South Korean boy band as the “beginning of a new chapter.”
The album will be available to live stream on all major online music platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
BTS is comprised of seven members — Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook — and has picked up a plethora of awards, including becoming the first Korean group to ever win a Billboard Music Award and American Music Award. BTS have 1 Platinum single, 3 Gold singles, and 1 Gold album in the United States. In Korea, BTS have one Multi-Million album and one Million album.
Following the release of the album, BTS will embark on a Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour.
