Snoop Dogg was one of many star entertainers and celebrities to attend the Nipsey Hussle memorial to honor the late-Crenshaw rapper. Snoop Dogg delivered an incredible speech and eulogy that had social media buzzing.
The memorial service — Nipsey Hussle’s Celebration of Life — was held at the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles on Thursday, April 11.
“One thing me and Nip had [in common] was a kind spirit. A spirit of love,” Snoop Dogg remembered. “When we met each other it was like a magnet coming together.”
Another simple, yet brilliant line was: “For God so loved the world that He gave us a good Crip, the late great Neighborhood Nip.”

Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed on Sunday, March 31 outside of his clothing store — Marathon Clothing — in Los Angeles, California. The rapper was 33 years old. Hussle was recently nominated for Best Rap Album at the 61st Grammy Awards for his debut studio album “Victory Lap.” Initially, reports claimed that the murder in broad daylight was a result of gang violence, but it was later revealed that it stemmed from a personal issue between Nipsey and the shooter, Eric Holder, who is now in police custody and charged with murder.
