Christopher Maurice McCallum, a 26-year-old “rapper” from Florida, has been arrested and charged after he allegedly shared a song on Facebook that contained lyrics threatening a school shooting at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

According to reports, McCallum — a rapper from Ocala, Florida, who is otherwise known as “JunJun Mccallum” — posted a music video on Facebook that contained the threatening lyrics “catch you at a Gator game and shoot the whole campus up.”

Additionally, Florida authorities said that the song — which was posted to Facebook on Friday, March 22 — also makes a threat of violence at the Keyanta Bullard (aka Yungeen Ace) concert at the Eight Seconds nightclub in Gainesville on Saturday, March 23.

However, police said that the Yungeen Ace concert at the Eight Second nightclub came and went without any that could be connected to Christopher “JunJun” McCallum, according to ABC 20.

Following his arrest, McCallum has been charged with threatening a mass shooting and was taken to the Alachua County Jail, where he is currently still being held on $50,000 bond.

After the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida in February 2018, the state of Florida changed their laws so that making a mass shooting threat was considered a crime.

WSVN reports that jail records do not identify a lawyer for McCallum at this time.

The story of McCallum draws parallels to that of Jamal Knox, a Pennsylvania “rapper” who was arrested and charged in 2017 for making threats against police officers in his rap lyrics. Knox’s case is currently before the United States Supreme Court.
