The 2019 WNBA Draft is set to take place on Wednesday, April 10 at the Nike Headquarters in New York City. Louisville’s Asia Durr, Baylor’s Kalani Brown and Teaira McCowan, Notre Dame’s Arike Ogunbowale, and UConn’s Napheesa Collier and Katie Lou Samuelson, are all expected to hear their names called in the first round.
For the third year in a row, the Las Vegas Aces will hold the No. 1 overall pick and it’s Durr who is expected to be the first player to have their name called.
Las Vegas had just a 27.6 percent chance to win the top pick in this year’s WNBA Draft lottery, but they still came out on top. The New York Liberty and Indiana Fever round out the top three. It’s an unfortunate slot for Indiana, which had a 44.2 percent chance to claim the No. 1 selection.
The first round of the 2019 WNBA Draft is set to air on ESPN 2 at 7:00 p.m. ET, before the action shifts to ESPNU at 8:00 p.m. ET for the second and third rounds of the annual player selection.
When and where is your favorite team slated to pick in Wednesday’s three-round draft?
