On Tuesday, April 10, NBA legend and future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade played the final home game of his illustrious career. The Miami Heat scored a 122-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in the game, but they were still eliminated from playoff contention after the Detroit Pistons upended the Memphis Grizzlies.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend were sitting courtside at AmericanAirlines Arena for D-Wade’s farewell, and they got an up-close look at the action. And when we say up-close, it is literally as close as you can get.
After launching a three-pointer in the second half of the game, Wade stumbled backward and ended up sitting in the star couple’s laps.
The end result was a viral photo — or as Teigen calls it, “a renaissance painting” — that had everyone laughing.

Wade finished his final career home game with 30 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
