The 2019 NHL Draft Lottery takes place on Tuesday, April 9, as the first 15 picks of the first round are determined. Throughout the one-hour telecast, the top three picks will be selected from the lottery. Picks No. 4-15 are awarded in inverse order of regular-season points to the teams that are not picked in the lottery.

Entering Tuesday night’s lottery, the team with the greatest chance to land the number one overall pick is the Colorado Avalanche, who hold the Ottawa Senators’ first-round pick. Colorado has an 18.5 percent chance to score the No. 1 selection. The Los Angeles Kings have a 13.5 percent chance, while the New Jersey Devils have an 11.5 percent chance. All other teams have less than a 10 percent chance at landing in the top three.

The 2019 NHL Draft takes place June 21 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
