Just six days before the final six episodes of Game Of Thrones begin to air on HBO, the television giant has released exclusive sit down interviews with 13 of the show’s major cast members.
The most interesting of the bunch came from Emilia Clarke, the famed English actress who plays Daenerys Targaryen on Game Of Thrones, as she reflected on her first scene as the iconic dragon queen and discussed how taking on the role of Daenerys has changed how she views of herself.
Targaryen, otherwise known as the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Protector of the Realm, Lady Regent of the Seven Kingdoms, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons, has been one of the showest most influential characters ever since it’s 2011 beginning.
As Daenerys Targaryen, Clarke has appeared in 56 of the 67 episodes that have aired so far, behind only Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister (61 episodes) and Lena Headey’s Cersei Lannister (58 episodes). To date, the Daenerys Targaryen character has appeared in the same number of episodes as Kit Harington’s Jon Snow.
In addition to the Emilia Clarke interview, HBO released “The Cast Remembers” interviews that feature Lena Headey (Cersei), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Maisie Williams (Arya), Sophie Turner (Sansa), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Rory McCann (The Hound), Iain Glen (Ser Jorah), Lian Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran/Three-Eyed Raven), John Bradley (Samwell Tarley), and of course Kit Harrington (Jon Snow).

HBO’s assuredly epic and soul-shattering eighth and final season of the Emmy award-winning fantasy drama Game Of Thrones will premiere on HBO on Sunday, April 14, at 9 p.m. EST. The final season will consist of just six episodes.
