Maximillian Carbone was last seen early Saturday morning. On Sunday, April 8, the Boston Police Department announced the tragic news that the 19-year-old Wentworth Institute of Technology student was found dead.
According to WBZ-4 CBS Boston, police do not believe that Carbone’s death is suspicious.
An official cause of death, however, has not been announced at this time.
Carbone was last seen leaving a party at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, and was found just over 24 hours later after more than 100 people gathered together to form a search party.
The 19-year-old’s body was found in the brush behind “a Roxbury glassblowing school,” according to the Boston Globe.

According Christopher Watts, one of Diablo Glass School’s educational managers, three of Carbone’s classmates came to the school on Saturday looking for the missing student. Watts said the young men told the school’s office manager that they had tracked his phone to the school’s location and were allowed in to search the school.
On Sunday morning, Boston police cars had cordoned off Terrace Street with yellow caution tape. When the caution tape was removed around 10 a.m., a group of six people walked past police vehicles with tears in their eyes.
Carbone was a sophomore student at the university.
“The university is staying close to the young man’s family members, offering full support and helping to keep them informed on any progress into the BPD investigation,” officials from Wentworth Institute of Technology said in a statement.
