Twitter Blasts OJ Prosecutor Chris Darden For Defending Nipsey Hussle’s Alleged Killer

Eric Holder, the 29-year-old man who is accused of gunning down rapper Nipsey Hussle in broad daylight outside of his clothing store in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 31, is set to have a high-profile lawyer. It has been revealed that Chris Darden, who became a prominent figure as one of the prosecutors in the highly-publicized O.J. Simpson trial, will be representing the alleged murderer.

Holder is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of a firearm by a felon, but Darden entered a not-guilty plea on behalf of his client during an arraignment hearing on Thursday. Holder’s bail is set at $5 million.

Immediately after it was known that Darden would be representing Holder, the internet went wild.

One of the first and most prominent voices to speak out and bash Darden for representing Nipsey’s alleged killer was none other than rapper Meek Mill. Meek claimed Darden was an example of “self-hate” within the black community while also saying “we at war with the system and the streets!”

Darden is the prosecutor who made the mistake of having O.J. try on the glove, which of course did not fit. That moment is one of the biggest reasons that Simpson was ultimately found not guilty of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. So, who knows, maybe we can all hope Darden slips up again and his client does the maximum sentence behind bars for gunning down Nipsey, who was also a great philanthropist working hard to give back to his community.

As you would expect, Twitter also had some thoughts about Darden’s defense of Holder which you can see below.

Seeing a Black Attorney (Chris Darden) defend a black man (Eric Holder) that killed a Black King 👑 (Nipsey Hussle) in cold blood, is demoralizing. 😔

Chris Darden is still out here making terrible decisions almost 30 years later that’s wild.

I am getting asked how accused @NipseyHussle killer Eric R. Holder Jr. can pay Ex OJ Simpson prosecutor Chris Darden to be his lawyer. Darden was hired privately and there is no disclosure requirement that reveals how a lawyer is paid.
