Aleisha Tracy, a 33-year-old Australian, has been identified as the woman who died while on a flight from California to Melbourne following a vacation in Las Vegas.
According to reports, Tracy was found passed away in her seat about three hours into the 16-hour flight back to Australia on Sunday, March 21. The flight — Qantas flight QF 95 — was reportedly not full as Tracy was sitting by herself in a row of three seats.
Two doctors who were on board the flight unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate Tracy.
“Our cabin crew were assisted by two doctors on board. We are very grateful for their assistance,” a Qantas spokesperson said in a statement to Yahoo News.
At the time of this writing, Tracy’s official cause of death has not been reported and a police coroner in Victoria, Australia, is conducting the post-mortem examination.
A report from Daily Mail Australia said that friends and family of Tracy described the 33-year-old as “happy and healthy.”
Following her tragic and untimely passing, friends and family began posting tributes to Tracy on social media.
