Nipsey Hussle was fatally gunned down in broad daylight outside of his store in Los Angeles. The 33-year-old rapper from Crenshaw was reportedly shot six times before being passing away in the hospital.

It was shocking news that rocked the hip hop industry and the moments leading up to his murder were documented on social media.

Nearly an hour before the gunman open fired, Nipsey took to social media to share a message about enemies.

“Having strong enemies is a blessing,” Nipsey tweeted.

Then, just minutes ahead of his murder, Nipsey took a moment to pose with a young fan in the parking lot outside of his store.

Hussle — born Ermias Davidson Asghedom on August 15, 1985, in Los Angeles — was shot and killed outside of the store he owned, Marathon Clothing, at 3420 W. Slauson Ave around 3:30 p.m. PST.

Earlier in 2019, Hussle earned his first career Grammy nominated when he was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 61st Grammy Awards for his debut studio album “Victory Lap.” However, Hussle’s album lost to Cardi B’s debut album “Invasion of Privacy”.

Prior to the Grammy-nominated album “Victory Lap”, Hussle was known for his mixtapes such as his Bullets Ain’t Got No Name series, The MarathonThe Marathon Continues and Crenshaw. Grammy-winning rapper Jay-Z once famously bought 100 copies of Hussle’s Crenshaw mixtape for $100 a piece.’
